SelecTech announced the launch of a “Keg Room” division to better serve brew pubs, restaurants, wineries and other facilities that store and refrigerate kegs and barrels.
Avon, MA, Sep 24, 2019 -- SelecTech, Inc., a leader in the manufacture of innovative flooring products with long-term value and immediate benefits, recently announced the launch of a “Keg Room” division to better serve brew pubs, restaurants, wineries and other facilities that store and refrigerate kegs and barrels.
“Breweries, wineries, restaurants and bars all have refrigerated rooms to store kegs. Many of those rooms have cement flooring. While it may sound like overkill, there’s more need to protect that floor than you realize,” said Thomas Ricciardelli, president of SelecTech, Inc., “As part of a food service business, these rooms have to adhere to board of health requirements. Loading kegs onto plain cement flooring can often chip flooring. That can open the door to germs and bacteria. It can also start the deterioration of the floor.”
The crown jewel of “Keg Room” division is SelecTech’s StaticStop SelecTile flooring. Typically used as an ESD flooring, it is also available in a non-ESD tile. Until recently, SelecTile was only available in black, making it more affordable than any other SelecTech product. The combination of affordability and ease of installation made the non-ESD tile very attractive to many restaurants, breweries and wineries for the rooms where they store their kegs of beer and wine. Hence the creation of the new division.
“SelecTile is also very easy to clean and maintain,” said Ricciardelli. “This comes in very handy as keg rooms, walk-ins and barrel storage areas must withstand frequent spills and are mopped on a regular basis.”
Continued Ricciardelli, “Both versions of SelecTile utilize our patented interlocking flooring system. Beyond super easy installation, there’s no messy glue-down and easy replacement of tiles that might wear out over time.”
Made with 70 percent recycled materials and 100 percent recyclable, SelecTech flooring products meet CA 1350 Indoor Air Quality and is MAS Certified Green.
